“The Bakery” – Hancock’s Newest Business

HariBeth Schwartz and Rob Franciose are proprietors of The Bakery, located at 167 East Front Street in Hancock. This new venture is located in the recently renovated building that, for years, housed the Capital Restaurant.

The atmosphere is great, with a mix of old fashioned and up-to-date. The food is even better with fresh pasteries, regular and flavored coffee, bagels and more. If you want lunch, the menu includes sandwiches like “the turkinator” (turkey), “under the sea” (tuna) and the “tree hugger” (no meat- only vegetables). Hours of operation are Friday and Monday 6:30AM to 3:30pm and Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 3:30. Give it a try; you’ll find good food and pleasant company.
